Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Our quote depends on what has come out of our initial conversations with you. It may include every element of your build from consents to fittings, or it may include just some parts if you are supplying your own appliances or using your own tradesmen.
This flexibility is a key advantage of working with us over other building companies. Your quote will include a breakdown of the elements involved so you can get a clear picture of where your money is going.
Once the quote is accepted for a new build home, a 5% deposit is required. The following payments are then to be paid at the various stages of the build:
- Foundation completion 15%
- Framing completion 15%
- Roof and building wrap completion 15%
- Exterior cladding completion 20%
- Interior lining completion 15%
- Interior finishing completion 10%
The remaining 5% will be invoiced when the home passes its final inspection.
Yes!
Our architect can apply for the building and resource consents on your behalf if required. The fee is incorporated into the total cost of the build.
From start to final inspection, our new builds typically take between six to nine months. During that time, we’ll keep you up to date with regular phone calls and texts. We’ll also send you photos of the process so you can see how things are progressing.
You are also welcome to meet Bryan to address any concerns during the build.
We off you the option of the Builtin guarantee which covers you for work not starting or there being delays, as well as for defects for 10 years following completion of the build.
We also carry our own liability insurance.
To begin your new home build or to work with experienced home renovation builders, contact Interlink Homes to arrange a consultation.
We’ll talk through your ideas and requirements and then put together a proposal with costings for you.
